Momma's Sickly

Seth darling, Momma is sick so just keep sleeping all night like a good little boy. You can now play peek-a-boo. You love to play it with a blanket or a book. I prefer blanket, because you keep hitting your head with the book. But, you have a tough head! You take after your dad that way!

YMCA again

Well Seth, you made up for your betrayal the other day at the Y babysitting. After a 1/2 hour they had to page me to the babysitting room because you were crying. You were the only kid in there, so I think the three adult ladies trying to play with you scared you because none of them were mama. It's nice to know you finally missed me while I was gone. But try to get it out of your system because I have about 15lbs to lose!

Survival

You survived your first baby-sitting experience by a non-relative today at the YMCA. You had so much fun. You played in an exasauser and then you crawled all around the play room. When I came back to get you I said "hi Seth!" You just looked over your shoulder, gave me a smile and went right back to doing what you were doing. Traitor!

Haircut day

What a fun day. Daddy had the day off and we all went to a park in PA (even Gus) and walked around. Then we all took afternoon naps and then got haircuts at Supercuts. Pictures later.

Take a long nap babe!

Son, you have FINALLY started sleeping through the night. From 6:30pm-6:30am. If I had been told this was going to take 11 MONTHS I might have reconsidered the whole having a baby thing. But you're here now, so I'll keep ya. But just a warning to any and all women of child bearing status, the whole "the baby should be sleeping through the night by 6-12 weeks" is complete and utter bull hickey!!!!

Super Smarty Pants

Seth is now able to change his leap frog play table language to the Spanish setting. He does this every day. I'm expecting him to say "hola mama" any day now!

Don't grow up!

Yay for the cutest baby EVER! He slept straight through from 6:30pm-6:30am, waking just when Daddy's alarm clock went off so mommy got even more sleep this morning! Good news, as she has a root canal this afternoon. Yuck!

Fat Mommy

Dear Seth,
Mommy and Daddy decided to join the YMCA. Which means that for at least two days a week Mommy will be leaving you with strangers at the on-site babysitting. I think you'll do fine. You'll get to play and chew on new toys. Luckily your mom is not a germaphobic. I'll be sure to bring the hand sanitizer just in case.

Today we went to lunch with your friends. You love to hold spoons. We have to give you one for each hand. The fun starts when you start dropping them on purpose and then screaming. You've been crabby the last few days. I'm wondering why, and wondering how long it will last!!!! Daddy got some new CD's and when we put them on you start bobbing your head to the music. Last night we had a little dance party. It was really cute, makes me almost forget how crabby you are. ALMOST.

End of a long day

Seth has long since been tucked into his crib and I am about ready to hit the hay myself. Seth was a crabby little baby today. His grandparents left this morning after their week long visit, so I think he may be missing them. Never fear Seth, come next month the invasion of the relatives begins!!! You might go blind from the flashbulb damage. We had a fun yesterday at our multi-family playdate. Here's a picture of the kids and the moms.

Back Home

I'm so glad to be back with my little boy! I got home after he was asleep, but of course I had to go check on him. I changed his diaper and he opened his eyes and just looked at me. And then he took his little hand and touched my face. I started crying, it was so sweet.

4 AM

Ughhh... Seth got up and was crying a little so I went in his room and rubbed his back and he went right back to sleep. Wish the same could be said for me. I'm leaving my baby for FOUR nights!!!! But, his dad will still be here of course, and the grandparents arrived yesterday.

Little message to Seth: Son, I'm going to get used to sleeping through the night again while I'm away from you-I suggest you learn to do the same!!!!

Breakfast

Okay Seth, it's now 7:24am. I just put you back in your crib. You got up at 5:45AM this morning. That is very early young man! I tried my best to settle you back down, but NO, you were up for the long haul. Well, I blame you for my breakfast this morning. I need to start taking care of myself a little better. I wonder why I'm gaining weight!!!!!

Gus

Today I heard Seth say Gus's name clearly for the first time. Gus is our basset hound. Okay, so it was more like GA without the S but it's a start! He's also pointing at things in books. It's so cute and proves how super smart he is!!!!

Today Seth ate pancakes his daddy made. It was so cute. We had to rip them in little pieces of course. He really loved them! This weekend I'm getting ready to go away for four nights! I hope my baby doesn't forget about me!

I've decided to start this blog about Seth.  I've pretty much recorded nothing in his baby book.  Since I'm on the computer a lot I thought I'd try my hand at doing this.  Maybe it will be easier to jot memories down.  Pretty much my whole life is about him now, and I love it!  He is seriously the cutest baby in the history of babies, I'm absolutely not kidding.  Oh, and he's a super genius baby.  Yep, he is very smart.  I'm not just saying this because he's my kid either.....
